I will be having my UK vacation this May. Spending 1 week in Manchester aside from London..what would be the best things to do in Manchester during this days. Thank you

Thanks Steve for the information.I might as well try visiting nearby cities. Ill check that clubbing experience also..;)
Not been back for a while, but:
There's a good industrial museum.
Natural History Museum
Some excellent gallaries
The renovated canal/docks area
OLD TRAFFORD :o)
Trafford Centre for shopping
Some of the best pubs and beers in the world
Nightlife was great when I was growing up there - too old for it now!
Some good parks
Check out the older parts of town - Town Hall, Whitworth street(if it's still there)
If you go a little out of town you have the Peak District 30 minutes away, Yorkshire Dales 45 Mins, Lake District a couple of hours.
Not much in Manchester unless you want to see how drug deals go down in the city.
Depends what you like, if you want nice countryside and peace then you will be disappointed.
However if you like nightclubs etc then OK that about all there is.
