My family is having a vacation here for very short time.
And i don't want them to get bored and so i'd like to show the beauty and wonders of Qatar!
Could anyone please help and advise me where to go and visit here in Doha so that we can make their stay here enjoyable and come back for more...It's just that i have been here for merely 7 months and have not explore Qatar so to speak...
Place to go where a child and adults can enjoy...
is sport city lagoon open for all? how to get there?

your suggestions are much appreciated...Qataries are most welcome to contribute as you know much about your country...Qatar!

thank you again...

Try to get a copy of the Marhaba magazine. It's full of suggestions for things to do in Qatar.

Natural History Group do some very interesting things. They have a telephone contact in the Marhaba. I'm sure they can give you ideas.

souq waqif is a really nice place to go down during evenings .. you can have a nice walk .. check out the souvenir shops .. and lotsa traditional shops along the main courtyard ..

if you would like to arrange for a trip to inland sea do let me know i can arrange someone for you .. a few of my friends freelance with the tour operators and are totally professional and safe ..

also do take a trip down to Dukhan beach .. the drive there is really nice .. and the beach is neat as well .. if u know someone at the QP beach resort they have there all the more better .. you could drive down to Fort Zubara and Fuwarad .. oh btw search some posts from yesterday .. i noticed someone had put up an itenary about places to go compiled by the Qatar Natural History organization or somethin ..

have fun .. take care ..

life goes on ..

Take them to Souq Waqif and inland sea. If you dont have 4 WD you can buy a package from the tour operator.

And for the rest ... after 7 yrs here ... i have no idea ...
