Singing Sand Dunes

Does anyone know how to get there? I found some directions that take me down Salwa road and then on this side road and down some other roads that just don't seem to be there...but I can't find it.

Does anyone have some specific directions that are not almost completely impossible to find due to the road construction? I would really appreciate it. I want to check it out before I leave here in a month. Thank you in advance.

These directions seem close to the ones I had originally, but I hope the slight differences help me. Thank you so much and I will post again if I find it.

I managed to find them first time using the directions here;

along with the associated map;

I wouldn't recommend going there at this time of year though - it'll be ridiculously hot! We went back in April and it was too hot then really.

Travel south on Salwa Road until you get to the Mobil petrol station on the right hand side - almost opposite to the entrance to the US Air Force Base. This is about 15 km beyond the old Industrial [Fort] R/A. About 1 km beyond the petrol station you will be able to make a U-turn. Travel back towards Doha, pass the US AFB entrance and then take the 1st slipway to the right. Although there is a lot of construction I think that the sign is still there that says Messaieed. Now you head East for about 8-10 km - pass 2 roundabouts. After the 2nd R/A you will find an intersection with a narrow tarred road leading off to the right. Turn there and proceed until you get to a small bridge over the pipelines. The dunes will be at about 2 o'clock to you right.

If you have a GPS please let me know and I will give you the co-ordinates. A 4X4 is not necessary to get there as the road is paved all the way except for the last 500m.

Good luck.
