Road to Saudi/UAE through Sawda Natheel?

Dear QLers,

While browsing through the satellite maps of Qatar on wikimapia.org, I saw that if one exits towards the left at the Sawdath Natheel intersection on Salwa road, it leads to a dirt road that runs all the way to the Saudi Arabian border, once it has crossed the Saudi Arabian border, it appears to be a newly rebuilt road that leads to the UAE.

Does anyone know of this route, when it was last used, and if it is still operational?

heard abt this road and it seems tht to go uae u dont need to pass through saudi...but its not proper road.
