65per sqaure metre for the quarter for MASTER COMMUNITY charges which is nothing and the common area charges depend on ur contract and when you bought, people exaggerate and make it seem more than it really is.

Pearl....to me is "sold an Refrigerator to an Eskimo"....one of the biggest cons in the world

....same also for Dubai, Oman, Bahrain etc.

Alright positive,

It would all depend on who you purchased from (which developer). I have been quoted 67 QAR per square metre. The Pearl looks good if only the wording in the contract was more clearer!, be aware you'll also have to pay 1%(of purchase price) transfer fee on handover.

Hope this helps

Kernowman

Thanks for your answer.

Well I feel better now knowing that it is Riyals not US dollars.

Next question:

Do you know how much is it going to be the monthly maintenance fee? I read 70 Riyals per square meter.????

True or false, I don't know.

We are very happy with our investment.

Looking forward to living in the Pearl.

Thanks again

I know what you mean. Look at all the other retail outlets as well. High end stuff. There are plans for supermarkets but the clientelle is not there yet.

I'm just wondering with the all the people moving in over the next few months, they might want to think about opening up a supermarket? instead of Ferrai showroom?

Just a thought?

Given that the rental uptake will be slow initially, and given that Doha is growing and will continue to grow, and given that the the Pearl WILL be the best place to live in Doha in 2-3 years when the construction is 100% complete, the expected rental incomes exceed 10% of capital invsetment, tax free, even withe some seemingly high lump sum up-front payments. Where can you do better with lower risk?? My capital invstment has nearly doubles in value since purchasing it...a trend seen across the project. Those folks who bad bag the pearl have not invested there so they have only researched bad news to justify why they should not have invested there....the place is amazing, the licensed restaurant (Bice) is the best Italian food in Doha. The plans for more restautrants and other night life are exciting. It may not have the seedier side that Dubai seems to have....who cares! My only regert is that i didn't buy another apartment at the time.

Is it allowed for a trip to pearl qatar construction area... some of the towers might have been completed...as seen in the pic.... or conceptual pic!!!

Yep, your paying, they will probably tell you one month in advance of moving in?.

My mum's having to fork out 12,000 QAR for Qatar-Cool and another 15,000 QAR for additionals.

You'll have to pay before your allowed to move in.

Looks nice costs the earth and then some!

Hi every_mothers_n...

Thanks for the pic. The Pearl is awsome!!!

Regarding the comment: "Plus all the addtional cost no-one is told about until the are about to move in (qatar-cool)!!"

We have a flat in Viva Bahriya.

I've heard/read that we have to pay $70000 US for the installation of the cooling system. (Only rumors, nothing official).

A. Is this true?

B. Is in US dollars or Riyals?

C. When do we have to pay them?

Thanks to all who have an answer.

I not suprised it looks nice, the amount of money people are being charged to buy places there.

Plus all the addtional cost no-one is told about until the are about to move in (qatar-cool)!!

Would you want to live there?, can you afford to?

You're right. it looks a bit like some mass housing development for the workers in communist China...

I am sure it will "blossom"
