My company don't give me ramadan working hours

My company told me that i still work in regular working hours during ramadan not 6 hours and worst is no overtime pay will be given to me... Is this legal...
I'm working in the office... Almost all of my friends (other company) will have 6 hours of work during ramadan.
What must i do? Is this againts the Qatar Labor Law?

Thank you guys for your response, i really appreciate your responses. Anyway, i forgot to tell you that i'm working in a korean company. And i'm the only filipino who is working in that company, the rest are koreans and all of them agreed to work regular timings on ramadan. =(
I can't do anything at the moment because if i will complain to the Qatar Labor my company will suspect that i have complained in the Qatar Labor and it will affect my company status...
My regular working hours is from
8am to 12:30pm
12:30 to 2:00pm
2:00pm to 5:30pm
Normally my company service picks me up at 7:00 and i will arrive at 7:30 they will ask me to something which is work related...
At 12:30 i will eat my lunch and as soon as i finish my lunch which is always 1:00pm, they ask me to do something again and they said it is urgent.
At 5:30 pm... Nobody will take me home, and still wait for the driver to come up to 6pm sometimes 6:30, while i'm waiting they still ask me to do something... =(
That's why i really feel bad that my company will not work in ramadan timings this coming ramadan...

ats_doha - It's not illegal. Read articles 73 and 74 of the labour law. 4 hours overtime can also be worked (and paid accordingly), making a total of 10 hours per day.
I am working as an HR Manager i have never heard of this in my career time, it is Totally ILLEGAL and according to section 73 you have the right to work 6 hours in ramadan regardless....I hope this helps:)
My company also doing the same, they works 8 hours a day in Ramadan. In other months, its 9 hours...Nobody dare to complaint in Labour department as it will result in deportation. Even though some people complained in labour dept, they didn't take any action. During Ramadan, total working hours should never exceed 8 hours against 10 hours, which is for the remaining months.
theres anotherway. go fast during the holy month of ramadan so your company will have no choice but to let you work only 6hrs/day and at the same time it cleanses your body and soul.

QLL does not differentiate between religions.

The maximum work hours are 48 hours per week or, eight hours per day during all months of the year, except during the Holy Month of Ramadan, during which it will be reduced to 36 hours per week or six hours daily. The time spent on transport between residence and work will not be calculated. Work hours shall include one or more intervals for prayers, meals and rest and shall not be less than one hour and not more than three hours. These periods shall not be calculated within duty timings. The employee shall not work continually for more than five hours, without rest.
For work that requires continuously without rest, a Ministerial Decision will be issued.
Article 74
Employees may work additional hours exceeding duty timings prescribed in the previous article. The total work hours per day shall not exceed 10 hours. Employees may exceed these hours to prevent huge losses, accidents, maintenance or to remove effects caused by losses or accidents.
The employer shall pay for additional work hours, an amount not less than the basic salary of the employee, adding an increase of not less than 25 per cent of this salary.
Employees working between 9pm and 3am will be paid basic salary plus an incentive of 50 per cent of this salary, except those who work in shifts. "
As far as I know this law is only for Muslims. If any company allow non muslims to work for 6 hrs that's a favour from management. But non muslim cannot demand to work for 6 hrs only. That's only I know. May be it's not correct. But in Saudi Arabia no consideration for non Muslim.
Yes brother u have the right to complain.but brotehr be frankely speaking if u did this then i think u can,t worke more with this company buz here if u complain urs employer then u can be deporte soon buz company have the right to do if not immidetially then they ll c u after sometime and as soon as compay get the chance to finish urs empolyemt then they can do it .
in short u have to suffer evertime for urs action.

Less working hours are said to be for the muslim as they fast and have to break the fast around 1800hrs (current timings) per the law, but most of the companies extend this courtesy to all (non muslims even). If few companies don't extend this courtesy to non muslims, technically it is not a violation and or questionable. As far as i know...
what u r afraid of now?? u know the qatar rule during ramadan, so just tell ur boss that u will be working as per qatar ramadan rule of 6hrs in a day..THATS IT !!..But to tell u frankly, i was with one company before and they also didnt allow ne of their employees to work for 6hrs in a day except two of our muslim colleagues..So sometimes u have to bear the strict policy of ur company..RIGHT???

If your company is not a Middle Eastern owned company, or has a majority of Muslims working for them, then they don't have to shorten the working day. Some companies that are owned by other nations might give their Muslim employees the shortened day. For example, my husband works for an American company here. They do not observe the shorted hours for Ramadan, but the Muslims that work for the company are allowed the shorter hours.
Depends a lot whether you work 5 or 6 days a week.
36/6 = 6 hrs a day, 36/5 = 7.2 hrs/day + Lunch = Full 8 hr day
As per Article 73 of Labour Law, during Ramadan maximum working hours per week is 36 hours computing 6 hour per day. If your employer refuses to give you the concession clearly envisaged in Labour Law, you can contact Labour Department for redressing your grievances.
yes it is againts labor law and if you complain to them they will definitly take an action,
