First Trip To Doha
I have read a wealth of information from QL website, and decided to join. I have spent hours reading all the comments to various topics, and feel this website has alot of great people. I will be staying at the Movenpick Tower and Suites. Can anyone tell me anything about this place? I will arrive on July 2, 2007. I do not know anyone there and am interested in meeting new people. I chose Doha because it is one of the Gulf Countries, and eventually, I hope to visit all the Gulf Countries.

I thought I clicked on reply to you, and when I looked, I saw my reply posted on the forum. I feel happy with my choice since reading your comment that your collegues had a "gala time there". Where do I get a copy of the Marhaba? I will go to the websites that you recommendeded, and seek out futher information. Have a great day.
Your arrival is in peak summer (July-Sept)u will be able to njoy very little. Qatar's glory is best seen from Oct-April
Make sure you get the copy of Marhaba (guide of Qatar)

All I know is that it is a new hotel. It is really well located near the Corniche (the centre of life in Doha) and City Centre (a huge shopping mall).
Not a bad place to be based to explore Doha.

Movenpick Towers located in West Bay, and just across the road from City Centre shopping mall. As for meeting new people, after 2 weeks from the date you join, try to join social group run by Xena. She make a day out/night out for the group's member.
