One documentary in particular, “Mermaids: The New Evidence,” should accomplish that.

Aired over the weekend right after “Mermaids: The Body Found,” the new TV special has once again ignited the debate on whether mermaids are real.

The video embedded at the end of this blog post in particular has gotten many inclining towards the possibility of their being real creatures, living their life hidden from human eyes.

It shows a sea creature resting on the rocks, who flees away the very instant it realizes there’s people around.

“Dive even deeper into the legend with Mermaids: The New Evidence, which examines the startling, never-before-seen video evidence of aquatic hominids that has come forward since the documentary Mermaids: The Body Found first aired in 2012 with the original whistleblower on the Mermaid Conspiracy, Dr. Paul Robertson,” Discovery promised ahead of the premiere of the new documentary.

So, let me ask you: do you believe mermaids are real?

but i believe they do exist and Columbus also mentioned in his book (i dont remember the name) he seen them but they are not beautiful like us imaginationing them..

what ever i want to see them and i wanna touch them..before i meet israyeel alihissalam...

these are the evidence i got from internet..

i heard many stories from my native place..
and my grandpa told me he saw one time when he was fishing in indian ocean...(my grandpa is a fisher man)

and he said some one destroy them fishing net when they do fishing definitely its not a fish because they know the damage how its look like later after 2 years they appear to him (he had 5 crew members) they also said they have seen them but they are similar to the human but they are not human they were stronger then human...

I heard rumours that Americans have been training mermaids to track Russian submarines and listen in to traffic on under sea comms cables.

Animal Planet documentary shows mermaids exist.

OTHER VERSIONS

Animal Planet's Mermaids: The body found paints a wildly convincing picture of the existence of Mermaids, what they may look like any why they've stayed hidden...until now.

HOAX OR FACT:

Hoax.

When you put it all together, the causes of death, the sonar, the audio, the Navy tapes, the documented incidents, and all the other factors such as forensics, witness accounts, etc., it's not too far-fetched to believe that Darwin may have missed a few species here and there, and that his theory of evolution might need revamping, considering it gives thought to the possibility we all came from some oceanic lifeforms, anyway, that evolved into land creatures.

Let people wonder and be free- no one is doing anybody any harm for believing and thinking beyond just what they know. LIve and let live I say.

Tools created from marine life found in fish, whales, and sharks that were caught by fishermen, have been reported several times for years since the creation of documenting. The concept of Mermaids seems impossible because we are so used to interpretations from the likes of Disney, but there are certainly no people swimming at 1,000 feet below sea level, much less people that are able to accomplish this. I hardly doubt the Icelandic ocean bottom surveyors are making up stories and renting expensive equipment jsut to make a fake-umentary of "Mermaids". Much less do I think Networks like Discovery and CNN would compromise their integrity and publish this as REAL.

You also can't help to wonder why the Navy was so interested in certain washed up sea life in a specific areas of the beach, had closed out restricted areas, and human size stretchers, where hundreds of whales beached themselves, and left other parts completely untouched. I quickly am skeptical about believing only video and pictures, but when you put all the facts together, it does seem quite plausible.

I concure, Alexia Smoot's reply. You can't just be chanel flipping and assume you got the whole story figured out. If you watch it in chronological order, you will see they clearly have re-enactments labeled and actual witnesses, such as the scientist, researchers, forensic's experts, and people from the Navy.

Some of the videos do look fake. The one with the boys at the beach, but you have to wonder, why would hte Navy be so interested in silencing them and surveillance them, to the point of getting the boy's mother to have them change their original statements, and never speak about it again.

Avatar is a movie right..but its a imagination of a director. you can not say the planet of avatar movie (Pandora)is totaly fake...there can be a planet..you dont have any proof to make it false..this is about earth..and they have proof to make us believe the mermaid do exist..but the other hand we dont have any proof to make it do not exist...am i right???

government trying to keep those and any and all scientists from looking. After all it would be harmless to search for something that doesnt exist. But they do. They're out there and they arent ready to be found just as we are not ready to find them.

If the scientists were making it all up they wouldnt be hurting anyone and if in fact they were just on a wild hunt for Santa Claus or the Easter bunny then why would the government spend so much time, effort & money to follow them and watch them. Also, why would the government always intervene in the scientist different test and observations if they know with such certainty that mermaids arent real they also should have known their studies wouldnt produce anything disturbing. If there is nothing out there then what is the U.S.

I believe the films are real to the best of my knowledge for the simple fact that if its a work of fiction then why would two major branches of the government, homeland security and NOAA, bother to go publicly on record saying mermaids were not real.

By fazloon mohamed• 29 Jul 2013 22:35
fazloon mohamed

Although i do not know how they were started i did Google Mr. Weideman and i found that he did play a role on the film as Dr. Paul Robertson but if you look at a picture of this actor as you watch the film you will see he only acts as Dr. Robertson in what they clearly lable on the bottom of the screen as a dramatic re-enactment. This means they are re-creating the actual event with actors standing in as the actual scientists that were once members of NOAA as i said before.

i know those are not the real names, i just said that we identify them in those ways....but the dna thing is not 98% its my guessing but they said (scientist) its very similer to the humans...

I believe the documentary is more true than false. In Mermaids: The body found the scientist Dr. Paul Robertson is not an actor but a real scientist who use to work for NOAA. However, the rumors of him being an actor named Andre Weideman are false.

fasloon, don't go by the names...sea horse is not a horse, sea lion is not the least like a lion, never heard of sea pig or sea cockroaches though. Now, if it was a fish with extended fins that looked like human limbs, you would call them mermaids but the fact remains, they are still a species of fish.

By Knight Returns• 29 Jul 2013 22:10

fasloon, I feel all these questions will be answered only when a real mermaid will be caught and its blood tested. Now don't tell me they have already caught a mermaid and tested its DNA only to find it was 98% matching with that of humans!

If the 'evidence' is only through videos and pictures...I don't really accept the evidence as authentic. It could be a hoax. BTW, there cannot be 98% similarity between a mermaid like creature's DNA and that of a human being. Its scientifically not possible.

Why would the Americans want to cover it up?

simple bro...if you believe sea horse, see lion, sea pig, sea snack, sea worm, sea cockroach than why can not be a sea humen do exist there ???

i am not talking about sarls darwins X and Y...

if you watched that full they are submitting more than 7 solid footage and video proof for your doubt..

its Discovery channel man i have learned many things about Geography and animology thru that channel since i was 10. so i have to believe them..

they have tested the DNA and its 98% similar. so they are one of our human tree bro...

i think you didn't see the first video full.

its explain everything how many deep see creatures are pending without unnamed,do you know that. the U.S. government covering up the story they are trying to prove the mermaid is a lie..but the scientist they proved..

i have spend 1 week to know the truth after watching this documentary from Discovery.(Animal Planet)

Yeah god created mermaids to mess with Darwinists. The same way Darwinists put all those fossils in the ground

The video is not clear so it could be made up. In my reasoning mermaids can't exist based on the present classification. If they do exist, it would creat another class of vertibrates and the present nomenclature will have to be revised. The DNA code of mermaids would be interesting to study.
