Connection FlyDubai-Singapore Airlines at DXB

Hi,

I would like to know how it works when connecting with different airlines at DXB using FlyDubai ?

My planned route will be:

-Doha-DXB with FlyDubai (Terminal 2)

-DXB-SIN with Singapore Airlines (Terminal 1)

As per Flydubai.com,I'll need to let the agent at Doha check-in know that I'm transferring onto Singapore Airlines flight in Dubai. Then,When I reach Dubai, I'll need to go directly to the Dnata transfer desk where I'll be checked-in for my next flight. It is not clear though how my baggages will be transferred.

Anyone else has gone through a similar connection?

Thanks

I've got a reply for Dnata, transfer is possible between 2 different airlines at DXB:

"Dear Sir,

Please be informed Marhaba has got back to us and you can indeed transfer from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 using there services without a visa and they will help you with the baggage as per the following prices;

a) Interterminal Baggage Transfer Service – Assistance in transferring the baggage between terminals or within the same terminal at Dubai International Airport:

-Speedy clearance through transfer desk check-in formalities

-Baggage transfer from Terminal 1/3 to Terminal 2 and vice versa

-Ramp transfer via shuttle services for passengers connecting between the two terminals

-Rate: AED 225.00 T2-T1 per passenger (for up to 3 bags)

b)Standard Transfer Service – Assistance in transferring or transiting via Dubai International Airport either between terminals or within the same terminal:

-Personalized escort from the arrival flight to the departure flight

-Speedy clearance through transfer desk check-in formalities

-Buggy car transfer within Terminal 1 and 3 at designated areas,T2 -T1 OR T3 visa not required

-Ramp transfer via shuttle services for passengers connecting between the two terminals

-Rate: AED150/- per passenger (Children below 2 years old are free of charge) "

when you check in here in Doha, ask them if they are checking your bags only to Dubai or to your final destination.

If they say yes, then you do not need to collect your bags.

If they say no, then you collect your bags at the Terminal 2 and have to re-check them in terminal 1

They have a bus that goes to the terminals, if you are in a hurry you can take a Taxi but it will cost you like 30-40 Durams from terminal 2 to terminal 1 if there is no traffic.
