Al Zubara - Weekend

Dear all,
Am planning to spend this weekned in Zubara. Could you please tell what all for entertainment/sight seeing there.
I searched on the web & could not find anything otherthan a fort. Anybody been there ? Please advice.Thanks

The trip is an easy one, now that Shamal highway is much more complete. Simply take Shamal Highway, highway 1, north until you see the sign for Al Zubara. Follow the ramp around, over the bridge and along the highway West to the coast. You can't miss the fort. The abandoned village of Zubara has been fenced off by the Government, so you can't get in to see that. Vids of both at the following link:

You have a beautiful beach.....which most of the people don’t know in qatar.

You need to take right from Al Zubra and drive a little, which will take you to a place called al huwaila, where you have the silent beach. Most of them are private beaches & you have some for public. happy weekend

phsb, you can stand there, look at the fort and dream of the days when Bahrain ruled that area. Then jump in the sea and enjoy the fact that the water is warmer than elsewhere. Don't forget your cold beer.

If you want to go zubara better go to corniche, atleast you can see highrise bldg, port, shore & many kinds of people.

Rizks... all sites show only zubarah fort. But is there anything else to see or to get engage in ?
