Airfare for a child under 2

Hi all,
My family joins me early next year. I was wondering if the airline charges a full seat for a child under 2?
Is there any such thing as 'discount' for children under the age of 2?
Any info is appreciated.
THe airline will charge you the airport taxes only,your child will seat with you,he is allowed to have a 10 kg luggage.
I am telling about QatarAIrways. They charge 10% fare for the infant however, the tax charged is almost 75% - 80% of the adult person, so the ticket becomes expensive. Whereas , EMirates charges low tax as well.
FOr Qatar Airways, half weight allwoance is allowed for infant and no separate seat is provided.
no children under 2 are consider as infants so u will get the ticket of infant and that is definaitely with discount, consult with 2 or 3 travel agencies but this is for sure
Infant fare is 10%.. and No seat or free baggage allownce.
If you want a seat .. Pay the child fare( 67 to 75%) and will be given a seat and the same baggage allownce of an adult.
