Accommodation in Lombok, Indonesia

Going to Bali with the family for a few weeks and planning to visit Lombok Island for a few days.

Can anyone recommend some decent family (and wallet) friendly accommodation there?

Thanks

AAH! This makes me jealous! I've been to Bali twice last year!

Anyway, the only reason i wanted to visit Lombok was for Diving. However, we ended up diving the wreck off Tulamben and didnt bother doing it.

One thing you may want to consider is getting a holiday villa/apartment. Surprisingly, they are priced not to different from the regular hotels. These are great especially since families end up staying here and make great company whilst providing a sensible amount of mental peace!

In Bali itself, Seminyak has tons of villas as such. Unfortunately, Seminyak also happens to be the more hip area and you can hear your credit card cry.

Honestly, I could use 4 weeks (after being there twice!) even now to only explore Bali mainland....

LEt me know if you need some other tips or have any questions... and i'll do my best or ask my mates in Bali :)
