Grand Opening of Al Balad Lebanese Restaurant
Al Balad Lebanese Restaurant has celebrated its Grand Opening in the five-star hotel Mövenpick Tower & Suites Hotel in West Bay, the heart of Doha. The charming restaurant, which is located on the ground level of the hotel, offers authentic Lebanese cuisine with a unique blend of flavors.
Mr. Essa Hamad Al Mannai, owner of Al Balad Restaurant, and Ghada Sadek, General Manager of the Mӧvenpick Tower & Suites, led the way for the official ribbon cutting by HE Mr Hassan Qassim Najem, the Lebanese Ambassador.
The event was followed by a cocktail reception that was intermitted by a special Lebanese folklore performance that awed the guests.
Al Balad, originating from Solidere in Beirut in 1999 has made its way to Doha. Since its inception, the restaurant raised the bar for Lebanese food by blending the traditional taste with a twist of modernity, in an atmosphere that captures the essence of contemporary dining.
The menu offers a rich variety of Al Balad unique mezze choices such as Halloum Al Balad, Meat with Almonds and Dates, and the famous Lebanese salads Fattoush and Tabbouleh, to Al Balad’s signature grills. In addition, the restaurant offers mouth-watering signature desserts such as Halawa Ice Cream and Ismallieh.
To mark the special occasion, Mr Essa Al Mannai said, “Doha is a world-class city and the perfect base from which to access the Middle East market. We decided to bring this five-star service restaurant to Doha, because we believe that Al Balad will offer the Qatari community a unique Lebanese casual dining experience, combined with excellent food and service.”
With a seating capacity of 100 persons inside and 100 outside on the lovely terrace, Al Balad features a culturally-inspired setting with burgundy and olive green hues and beautiful textures that create a warm and inviting environment for guests.
The restaurant also hosts and caters for special events and provides free delivery across all of Doha.
