Heat Awareness Campaign 31st July
A very good morning to all volunteers.
Yesterday we had the 2nd round of the Heat Awareness campaign held in partnership with Qatar Red Crescent. Just to update our volunteers and everyone else. There was a turn out of 63 volunteers and 27 cars for distribution. We covered Bin Omran, Wakra, Al Gharaffa and West Bay areas yesterday.
WOW that was a big turn out I must say. Everything went on smoothly under the leadership of Speed and with the help of this campaign's committee members who helped in organizing everything.
Special thanks to Saturday's sponsors:
- Power horse for 300 power horse cans (plus a few t-shirts for volunteers that were there on packing day)
- ILQ/Vodafone for 1500 soft drinks
- QRC for 3400 water bottles.
I'm not good in making public speeches in front of a live audience so we left that to Speed, Ksarat and Casanova to do after we were done with the distribution and were back at QRC office. So here i am with my updates and a few words from your King Kat.
