Blood Donation Campaign
The first blood donation campaign started back in 2008. With the past history of so many successful campaigns we are proud to announce another QV Blood Donation Campaign.
“Your blood can save a life”
On behalf of Qatar Volunteer (QV), I am pleased to announce the QV Blood Donation Campaign as follows:
Date : Thursday 4th April 2013 between 5PM to 7PM
Location: Hamad Hospital Building - Blood Donation Unit
Eligibility for Blood donation:-
If you are 18 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds or 50KG, have not donated in the past 8 weeks (16 weeks for double red cell donors), are healthy and are not currently taking antibiotics, we welcome your blood donation!
Please bring your Qatar ID or Passport along for identification.
You may NOT donate if you:
- Have cold or flu symptoms on the day of donation or do not feel well
- Have ever used a needle to take nonprescription drugs
- Had hepatitis after the age of 11
- Ever had a positive Hepatitis B or C test are at risk of catching or spreading the AIDS virus.
- If you have traveled to any of Asian/African countries within 6 months, where the risk of malaria is high.
- If you are tired and not feeling well
- If you are taking any antibiotics.
