QL Social Group....Is IT DEAD already?
It's kind of sad that this once (very)active QL SOCIAL GROUP lays dormant for months now.
Why it happened, I don't know and I guess I don't wanna know. No use bringing up anything that would cause any friction whatsoever.
I could still remember when the group was on its high.
Mondays would be shiesha/coffee nights
Thursdays would be PARTY nights
Saturdays would be a SPORT's Night.---billiards/bowling/darts ;-P
We had farm visits or dhow boat trips and beach picnics. I got lots of pictures reminiscing those times.
We even had the Movie nights when one of the member opens their abode and let us watch a movie or two with the rest of the group.
Would you believe that everyone active in the group keeps tab of ones birthday just to have a good reason to get together and have fun..great isn't it?
Vegas hosted the BEST BBQUE PARTIES ever! and with TCOM as the BBQUE KING, you'd be sorry not to come to Vegas' gig...that's an UNBEATEN record...thank you :-)
But, where have all the others have gone to?
- Some left Qatar,
- some went to another website....FACEBOOK!!(:D oh yeah!!!),
- some got or getting married?
- Some got banned
- Others left QL and never came back.
- Some of them became too busy when their families came to Qatar(like JBH)
and some just faded away or hibernated for one reason or the other (I'm guilty for that reason, I guess)
But looking at the bright side of it. From my own perspective, in this group is where I once found and somehow lost LOVE, met friends that became like my big brothers(Vegas, Monty, JBH), my sisters (Gypsy, Sabi, Scarlet, Lously, dragonfly212 and a lot more).
I don't know if I'm just bored or venting but I just happen to think....Should we let sleeping dog lie or should we make another attempt to revive this group back to its glory days?
