Hit and Run advice
Hi all. A while back I posted some questions about how to deal with a hit and run. The post seems to have disappeared somehow from the forums!
Anyway, I wanted to give a follow up in case it's helpful to others, since some people told me it was a lost cause.
My wife got hit by another driver who sped off - but my wife got her license plate. We only have third party liability coverage.
We reported it to the police and had to follow up with them a couple times. It took about 2 weeks of the police calling the other driver to get her to come into the police station, but eventually we got an accident report from the police with a claim form from the other driver's insurance.
Fortunately the other driver DID have insurance - not sure what I would have done otherwise.
I took the form to the other driver's insurance company's garage and got the car fixed for free. It all worked smoothly. Good luck to others :)
Your lucky, the "Lady" that hit me also ran away but so quickly I didnt get her lic plate number. Not that it would have helped as she a local dressed in full abya !!!!!!!!!!
Whoever thinks I made a racist comment that is your problem. For me it is not, rather it is a reality. Explanation already given. Now go figure and dont keep proving how dumb some of you are. I know, no need to prove it again and again. Duh!!! And BTW I am myself an Asian, an Indian to be precise.

Racist, negativity, hijacking, blah blah...some people are lost in understanding the terms same as they dont understand the 'Like' and "Report' buttons and simply press them for the heck of it. But going by the standard of comprehension and undertanding of most on QL, I dont mind. And now I am a 'she'...rofl ...:)

dont worry its not me, i have just liked your comment...its the usual kid on board who likes to press 'report' and 'like' button thinking its his PSP buttons...:)
To whomsoever...dont misuse the 'Like' and 'Report' buttons if you dont understand a comment properly (which obviously you dont)...keep your fingers in your pocket if the itch is too difficult to contain...:)
R2R... everything here works based on nationality...be it salary, entry to malls on fridays, attending National day parade, getting a GF, etc etc...should I say more..:)
