Guardian Angels Urgently Needed

I know that many people, seeing the posters attached , would like to do what they can to help in this kind of situation. However, not everyone is in a position to commit to adopting a pet; perhaps due to lack of suitable accommodation, or because they know they couldnt give the care and attention a pet would need long term.

But there is another way to get involved and show your support for the animals: become a 'Guardian Angel'.

All you need to do is:
a) Pick the dog or cat which appeals to you most, and become its 'Guardian Angel', helping to care for it until a permanent home is found. By donating a small amount (whatever you can reasonably afford) each week, to help cover its food and medical care you can really contribute to the long term well being of your chosen animal.

b) You could also help by displaying the posters, forwarding them to your friends, and going along to the Qaws birthday party on May 8th.

Of course, the ideal is to find the animals a permanent home asap. Please note that before deciding to adopt, you will need to look into the procedures and costs involved when you leave Qatar and take your pet with you. Expats leaving their animals behind when they go home is one of the main reasons so many animals end up living, breeding and dying, in miserable conditions, on the streets and building sites of Doha.
