Hamad Bin Khalifa Charitable Foundation established
The Hamad Bin Khalifa Charitable Foundation, a private foundation for public benefit that aims to contribute to social and human development in Qatar and abroad, has officially been established, as announced in the Official Gazette, Issue No. 17 of 2024.
The founding document and bylaws of the foundation, which is expected to provide support and social care to those in need, were also publicised.
The foundation will enjoy complete independence in its activities. It will be a legal entity with limited liability and will have an independent financial status.
It will operate in accordance with the attached bylaws issued by the founder and the provisions of Decree Law No. (21) of 2006 and its amendments.
According to the founding document, the foundation’s headquarters will be in Qatar, and it may establish branches and centres inside and outside the country.
The purpose of the Foundation is to improve the standard of living of needy people, especially Qataris, and to provide social care and financial and moral support to them in the fields of education, health, and other social development sectors.
It will also try to identify and meet their needs inside and outside Qatar. QAR20m has been allocated to establish and operate the Foundation.
