
HH the Amir performs Eid al-Fitr prayer

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer together with citizens at Al Wajba praying area earlier this morning.
HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani also joined the prayer.
HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the personal representative of the Amir; HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani; HE Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Shura Council, also participated in the prayer.

Several of their Excellencies sheikhs and members of the Shura Council and a number of their Excellencies ambassadors and heads of Diplomatic missions in Qatar also performed the eid prayer at the Al Wajbah praying area.
The Eid prayer was held with precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Court of Cassation judge and Supreme Judiciary Council member, Sheikh Dr Thaqeel Sayer Al Shammari led the Eid prayer and delivered the Eid sermon.
Sheikh Al Shammari recalled the blessing of God to his worshipers on such a day as he made it a feast for the people of Islam, after completing fasting and qiyaam.
He also stressed the importance of thankfulness to Allah and that it is one of the most important places of worship for which the believers are rewarded.

He called on the congregation of worshipers to increase their gratitude to Allah for the blessings of faith, security, stability and reassurance.
Sheikh Al Shammari also stressed the need to unite to stand up against the injustice and aggression from Al -Aqsa Mosque, and support the oppressed.
