Want to learn more about Qatari way of life? If yes, then Embrace Doha!
A lot of people arriving in Qatar for the first time will be totally puzzled about the way of life of locals in the country. A lot of them will be curious to know more about it.
If you are concerned that you might do the wrong thing, or if you feel the language barrier is preventing you from knowing more about your host country, then ‘Embrace Doha’ is the way to go.
Embrace Doha is an organisation that orients expatriates on local culture and tradition. It will host an open session at the Souq Waqif on January 14, where it will give people a chance to learn about the local way of life, reported Gulf Times.
Participants who book their places for free will be given a chance to learn Qatari greetings, history, customs and traditions while enjoying Arabic Qahwa in the traditional Majlis setting.
There will also be presentations about local dresses and outfits and also information on how to dress for different occasions.
The session will be two hours long and a lot of expatriates take part in it regularly. Qataris will interact with expatriates to clarify their doubts about culture and customs.
