Lamborghini's birthday gift to the founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini.
In honour of Ferruccio Lamborghini's 100th birthday, the Italian Auto company recently unveiled the limited sports car, the Centenario at the Geneva motor show. Despite having not started the productions, all 40 models of the car have been sold out.
The Centenario retains some of the Aventador's features, the long swooping roofline for instance. While the headlights resemble those of the Huracan, the tail-lights are clearly inspired by the Y-shaped units on the Asterion concept.
The body of the car is build entirely in carbon fiber, with a monocoque. The model has a dry weight of 1,520 kgs.
At the heart of the Centenario is the naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 from the Aventador, that belts out 19bhp more at 759bhp. Lamborghini’s most powerful production engine ever. So yes, performance is scintillating, to say the least. 0-100kph? 2.8seconds; the claimed top-speed stands north of 345kph. The car also goes from 300kph to standstill in just 290 metres, thanks to its carbon-ceramic brakes. The Centenario also comes equipped with Lamborghini’s four-wheel-steering system.
The Centenario joins the Reventón, Sesto Elemento, Aventador J and Veneno in the small line-up of sold-out limited-run Lamborghini cars.
this is ok...don't particularly like the rear or the yellow accents; the reventon and lp670-sv will always be my personal favourite lamborghinis...
