My experience with Driving school in Qatar
Hello everybody
Well Im sure most of you know how difficult and frustrating is to get a driving licence in Qatar ,
I tried GULF DRIVING SCHOOL , It is the most corrupted place in the world , The instructor will want to take all your money in exchange of "his teaching wisdom" :/
Up to now I took 2 road test and fail , but according to some people I know how this is going to end ,I believe I drove very well , but the officer has other opinion .
I know Qatar traffic department are trying to reduce the traffic , but at least they can tell us what to expect , Its really frustrating and I'm thinking of going back to my country.
Im fed up with the arrogant taxi drivers who wants to steal every QR in ur pocket :( :( :(
Wow, so I am wrong here...good to see that Traffic dept. is doing a good job. I accept my wrong view about driving license...@Knor :)
Are you MM in disguise ?
The police officer was busy smoking & enjoying my driving skills :)
Also, the speed limit on that road was 50 kmph ..but i was driving at 70 ..
This proves ..It depends on the mood of police officer .. :)
I did a short course at Karwa & even offered money to instructor for teaching properly (Apart from course fee) ..
He didn't even accepted a single riyal .. & gave excellent lessons ..
I passed in first attempt being an asian ..
@xxx ..you joined the worst school ..Try Karwa or Al Khebra ..
Such is the rule . Pass the test and get a license
saddyboy has a hatred feelings on Asians.....so "sadd"...oh poor "boy" :(
lol,.. i guess nationality has nothing to do with it,.. i had a canadian friend who was passionate about long drives ,he was known for his driving skills ,..but he himself passed after 3rd attempt on road test,.. so it really depends upon the mood of the officer who is sitting next to you
Wow...you are not an asian. Thats unbelievable...generally western expats gets driving license with no huddle. Where are you from? huddles which you see will be felt by all category c countries...
all driving schools here, instructors are letch. in al-qebra, I give-away a of total Qr300 during the entire full course. as for your road test I believe it now in your performance how to handle the pressure when the officer is seated beside you. the very basic tip I can give you are: be polite and attentive...here are the steps: 1. before boarding, handed your documents to the officer and just say good morning with a little smile. 2. do the 7-moves on the car: seat adjustment, rearview/sideview mirror, steering wheel adjustment, seatbelt, signal and slowly get on the road. 3. while on the road, observe the speed limit, head moves too that you are observing your sorroundings by looking at the mirrors. if it is 2-lanes, just keep on the right lane. if 3-lanes..better be at the middle. when approaching a R/A. listen of the officer if he will give a direction(normally he will just say roundabout-straight/left/right) if no direction were given....never ask him on which way to go. just drive r/o straight. be sure that he can feel that you are handling the car with confident. and when your test is done, and the officer gesture o say to pull-over. once again...look at the rearview mirror, signal right, park the car 1-mtr away from the road and just say thank you sir. .....good luck!
I know its very hard for asians but im not asian . It has nothing to do with nationality.
its the experience of most asian expat...i m sure you are not the only one here....patience is the only key and i know n seen people who cleared in 4th attempt even 6th attempt...in my company...whomever gets driving license...they will give a big party for the team. hope your day will come soon...but onething i can tell you that Gulf Driving school is the worse place...i learned and took license from Al Kherba...instructor was very proficient...as well.
