1. Less then 4 years old cars are allowed in Qatar.

2. Try and get a receipt of custom duty that has already been paid by dealer in UAE.

3. Register the vehicle in your name for export at any dealer office or at Tasjeel office.

4. You have the option of driving it your self or to get it via car transportation company.

5. Prefer transport as you don't have to wait at Saudi Border etc.

6. Transport charges vary up to AED 4,000/- but service is good. Takes a week to deliver.

7. Once the transport reaches Qatar border, they will call you to get insurance.

8. At a nominal charge of QR 500/- they will arrange for number plate and deliver the car to you in the industrial area.

Ensure you have copies of Passport, ID card, driving licence and vehicle documents to be given to car registration office in Dubai, Doha and to the transport company.

If you decide to drive the vehicle from DXB to Doha then you require transit visa for yourself, transit insurance from Dxb as well for Saudi Arabia and Qatar. All available at respective borders for a payment of QR 100/- per country. Takes around 9 hours to reach from DXB to DOH inclusive of border formalities.

are you planning to buy a new car or used ones?

As for new car, just inform the dealer you will export the car to Qatar so they will get export plate on it. You need original invoice, bill of lading etc... ask the dealer of the docs required in the process.
