So why the hatred for the US of A?

I do know why he started the thread and I did see those who had negative comments while talking about the international new stories. (I've been reading way too much at QL as of late.) He's right. After reading several sections about Russia and Georgia and the like (ask Vegas) there was some negativity on Americans and he was addressing it so it truly was legitimate.

Read the frequent news related threads and you'll see what he was saying. I guess I could dig them up if you would really like? (Titles) If you wanted the specifics.

Tig parle Francais? Spreche sie Deutch auch? I bet you do! Wish someone spoke Bulgarian, I could use some pointers damn it!

And what's "wrong" with that??

You know why I love America?

As you can see...mostly gave their comments/views about U.S. of A.

Í'm a Filipina but since my country is AMERICANIZED IN EVERY WAY...Our government system, education system, judicial, commercial system...all came from UNCLE SAM....to this very day. Most Filipinos know are American brands, from clothesware, tv shows/series, magazines, showbiz to food products. The (American) English is our second language...

THE QUESTION IS: why do YOU HATE USA that much?

By anonymous• 25 Aug 2008 16:10

75% of this planet people have a problem.

50% of the people of planet QL love to give reason

this leaves 25% of this planet people with no problems.

and 50% of the people of planet QL don't love to give a reason!

But when you "ask why the hatred":

0% bother to explain (from both planets)

and 75% of the population of the 2 planets, hide away!

So if we add the remaining 25% of this planet to the to the 50% of planet QL before you asked the question, the total will be 75%...Which...is EQUAL...TO...THEEEE...0% + 75% ...AFTER...YOU...ASKED...THEEE...QUESTION!!!

WOW!!! YOU ARE A GENIUS MAAAAAAAAAN!

That's the problem with people. It's like 75% of the people of the planet (or even 50% of the people here in QL, shall we say) loves to give a reason for the hatred on some news topic that involves America.

But when I asked why the hatred, nobody even bother to explain. It's like they suddenly hide away all these 75% of the population...

The X (3rd world) government held an urgent meeting upon the request of the minister of public works, who highlighted the miserable conditions of the infrastructure all over the country, where there is a major shortage of schools, hospitals, roads, water & electricity networks…etc.

The minister asked the government for a solution. Here, the minister of foreign affairs proposed that his country should declare war on the USA so that the American warships & destroyers start bombing & destroying the country’s lands from north to south, and from east to west, then after a few days, the X country decides to surrender and so the USA will hold an int’l peace conference with world countries who will all be contributing with billions of dollars to re-construct the country, as they did with Afghanistan & Iraq! Wow!

All the ministers agreed that this was a brilliant idea and that the government should adopt it right away....except for His Excellency the Hailed President....he was deeply thinking and totally silent....then he said:

BUT WHAT IF WE WON THIS WAR ON THE USA???!!!

Bruce Willis is my boy!

He likes to kick but all the time, specially the bad, the ugly and terrorist Arabs.

He is a real patriot, with a cowboy attitude.

I saw one time, when he was fighting fifty, terrorist Arab infidels with a butter knife, all those infidels got their heads severed from their bodies and hang-up, in wooden post outside for everyone to watch.

Go Bruce Willis, show the world how those terrorist Arabs do to the western world.

"..If we would be respecting each others boundaries, traditions, religions and above all each other..."

This is what gives a nation/country self-respect and prevents it from initiating hatred towards its own self.

people just don't agree with what the American government is doing, but they forget all about their own governments.

We the population got nothing to do with what our governments are doing with each other. While we can live together in peace and harmony, then why not?

I don't have anything against any of the Americans and have many friends, the base of the relations is all about mutual respect. If we would be respecting each others boundaries, traditions, religions and above all each other ... then why I can't see any valid reason for all of this ...

Ahh America the country that the world just loves to hate. Remember Eric Von Stroheim the man everybody loved to hate? I can think of analogy. It's like when a first time novelist captures the world's imagination and everybody builds him up. Problem comes with the second novel, it doesn't live up to the hype of the first and everybody just wants to drag him down. But he keeps on publishing and just gets better with time. After a while the critics decide to cut the cat a break and in time he becomes part of the national psyche, like an old friend.

In time, the world will get used to America and when she gets usurped by China people will say that they sure miss America. America is a naive, immature land full of danger, excitement and enterprise. America is where things happen, both good and bad, a land of innovation. You can hate us but you can't stop us and in the end you will want to join us.

I happen to be one of the first founders of this music night together with Bob Goy (Canadian) and Kevin Hanty (British). I understand that there are a lot of musicians across QL. Why not start something like a monthly Live Music Night?

personally, I think people get confused with hating america and the american government. I suppose if russia or the UK had all the influences and power the US has then they would be hating them too. America is comprised of human beings of many from around the world, so for one to say that you hate america is like saying that you hate people. Maybe what your trying to say is that you dislike the american idealist or something like that. I wonder if you were living the america dream, if you would feel the same way. hummmmm!

Well good luck,

I am always excited to go to sleep! In anticipation of the new experience I will find awaiting me.

methinks heero is another person from the past who can't leave this space alone and has a very deep resentment of America...and 1976 is just totally confused and unhappy all the time.

The opinions expressed in the article are not a reflection of the views of the author.... no joking.

Albanians, as with other diasporas, love America because their hard work has been rewarded....and they appreciate the OPPORTUNITY ... something they didn't have in their homeland

that I love America...with its warts and all. This is the land that I grew up in and there is no more beautiful and varied land in the world, as far as I'm concerned. Can't say I always agree with what the government does, but then, what population EVER agrees with everything their own government does??
