Shame on the courts and shame on your husband. This is a very serious breach and in my view he should be jailed or deported. The fact that he is British (although your profile says Lebanese) shouldn't make a difference and get him off the hook. It's a sad day for Qatar.

If you're really British, your hubby should've known alot better. There's enough ads on TV, billboards about it! He could've killed someone...I bet this isn't the first time he's drove whilst being over the limit! Your flippant attitude sickens me...

'things happen'...ehh no they don't. Your husband did something illegal and put the lives of others at risk and the future of your family in peril. I pity you married to someone so selfish. Shame.....

It is UNFAIR that a British and Asian has diffrent punishment/ penalty for the same crime, is color of SKIN a consideration IN CRIME/VIOLATIONS? GOD SAVE

According to my knowledge he has to pay penalty and jail for a month or so, suspension of driving licence for 6 month and warning that all depend on the court decision......best of luck and pray to god......Wait for some more answers.

Sorry to hear that.

Usually (for us Asians) it is 6 months to 1 year jail time then deportation.

But since he is British, they may be lenient with just a jail time and no deportation.

Punishment will be from deportation + fine
