If you are not confident about driving in Doha i suggest you take a 7 days or so lesson before you get ur licence. But since you have been driving in UAE and Oman then you should be fine here.They do have written exams but thats only when taking out a new licence.

UAE license can be transferred to Qatari without any issues, no idea bout Omani though. However since you say the UAE one is expired last year then the answer is NO, you cant transfer an expired license in Qatar.

driving in doha is just the same as driving in dubai. no changes, bullying is same esp. for those big cars.

You may have to take an eye test, apart from that no issues. Convert your Omani D/L to Qatari one.
