Transfering a UAE RP

Hello friends,

I hold a Pakistani passport and I have a UAE RP. I have an good offer in Qatar. Can I have my UAE RP transferred to a Qatari RP? I have a friend (engineer) working for a MNC in Qatar and he says that it's almost impossible to get a Qatari work-visa and RP if you hold passport from Pakistan or India. He is waiting for his work visa since mid 2005 and has been working in Qatar since then on a business visa.

Can you please shed some light?

If the company has made you a good offer, most probable they will be havning Pakistani visas in hand. so you dont have to worry about that.

A UAE residence permit cannot be converted to a Qatari residence permit.
