Dear friends from Qatar,
Im from Brazil and will move to Doha probably in May/2009.
I would like to know more about Ramadã. How Doha works on that period?! The tourist must to do the Ramadã also?!
Also, i have a question about period work. in Brazil, we work 8hr per day with one hour for lunch from monday to friday with saturday and sunday free. How is in Doha?!
Thank you so much,

Sheesh I actually was wondering what was the connection between Ramada hotel and Ramadan when i saw the title, but all is clear now that i see the worm on top of the ã

Mostly Govt and some private companies have Fri & Sat off. Your week begins on a Sat or Sun depending on where u work. Friday is our official Sunday, and the best time to take a drive on the roads :p

During Ramadan no place of eating is open until 6.00pm, you cannot be caught eating anything even in your car. You will not even get a cup of coffee your office :(

I love the month of Ramadan we start work at 7.00am and finish at 12.00pm :P

Bom dia, Flavia. I don't think anyone answered your work week question. The week goes from Sunday through Thursday with Friday and Saturday off for schools and some businesses.

u messed up the whole title.......its ramadan..Ramada is a hotel.

6 days work per week here most of the places.......9 hours a day with one hour break.

during the holy month of ramadan muslims work for 6 hours only...hotels and rest remain closed during fasting hours also eating and smoking in public is against the law during fasting hours.

Aana free, jaana free,

Pakde gaye tho khana free.
