Do you think that Qatar's culture has embrace Social or Digital Media well like over the last 10 years?

With the setup of this website and blog avenue, it sure has but whats next for the future?

How does Qatar plans to develop its social media engagement and even encourage its people to ve net-savvy, to be proactive in social networking tools and to create content and share them.

Hope you can share this discussion on this important issue for Qatar :)

You can start seeing some of the more in touch organizations around Qatar using social media: Al Jazeera, ICTQatar, Reach Out To Asia...I think for the future you will see more organizations begin publishing news, event listings and communicating online. AFTER that, you might see some of the organizations listening online. For now, it's very young here, and the lifestyle here is not very hectic like other big cities, so there isn't that same premium on information, people aren't spending their time there. Nor is there, in turn a huge need for every company here to get online.
