Could anyone tell me how reliable and honest the postal sevice is in Qatar. Do things actually arrive in one piece and is it quite fast??? Is most mail delivered to P O Boxes or to addresses?

Thank-you

Qatar postal service is slowwwww....

I don't even bother to use it.

Had a pkg sent from the US that arrived to Qatar in about a week, then it sat in the post office here for 4 MPNTHS!!

I've never heard of any problems with theft, though. Everything usually arrives in one piece. Eventually.

Using a courier service...Although, this could work out to be expensive in the long run. If there is an emergency then I would suggest that you use FedEx/DHL or the like. Other than that, Qatar's postal service is fine.

And mail is delivered to PO Boxes but you can ask them to send it to your address for an extra fee.

Qatar postal services are reliable and fast, but you maybe really need to check the sender country services.

once i got a parcel from canada, took around 3 mothns to arrive -in once peace- and when were invistegating about it they told us in canada they never knew where qatar is located ( that was in 2000 ), means before Qatar boomed in the world :-)

there is no addresses for postal in Qatar. You will have to hire postal address through post office.

I used my husband PO BOX at work to deliver my personal mail.
