Positive PPD (Mantoux) Test
Hi guys,
My husband and I both have positive PPD tests (also known as Mantoux test or Mantoux screening test, Tuberculin Sensitivity Test, Pirquet test, or PPD test for Purified Protein Derivative) is a diagnostic tool for tuberculosis.
We were asked to pass X-rays; they were fine, the lungs were clear.
May we be refused in Resident and Workin Viza for the reason of positive PPD tests even though the X-ray didn't show sing of tuberculosis?
Do we have to be on meds?
thatis considered certainly positive all right.
make an appointment with the TB clinic in rumailah hospital.
it was 17 mm...
you may be allowed to work but they will put you on meds for about 6 months the tough part is you have to go daily morning to the tb clinic and take meds under their supervision.
it depends on how many mm is the level of induration.
do it right - the first time!
