Police report, Easy!?

My car has invisible damage to the steering rack and pinon. I drove into a large pothol at about 40kms and only realised that damage has been caused when I took the car to the dealer for service.
I need to put this through insrance but for the police report, does the police need to see the car? It's with the dealer and not with me. what do i do?
It will never be paid by an insurance company in Qatar.
I dont think any insurance in Qatar is gonna cover this. Anyway good luck. Most of the car insurances are already saying its a loss business.

First make sure that your insurance do cover this type of damage before you go to the police.
Sometimes if you're lucky,the police will not ask you to look at the car. But most of the time, they do look at it. Try your luck
Just go to the Maror there in Matar Kadeem and tell them about your car damage than one of the police officer will check your car and than they will issue a insurance paper... ok
