Morning commute times from Al Waab - Lusail

We are looking at options on where to live, based on the location of school and work.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes in the morning from the Al Waab area (Beverly Hills compound area) to Lusail in West Bay? Which route would be the best option if one had to be at work for 7.30am in Lusail?

And also, how long would it take from Abu Hamour (Al Fardan Gardens 3 compound area) to Lusail? Would there be a significant difference in the commuting times at this time in the morning - considering one has to cross over Salwa Road?!

Thanks!

Hi, we're a professional estate agents here in Qatar, established for over 5 years.

Both compounds you are suggesting are well established and known for their quality and excellent facilities, but are situated on the wrong side of Doha for your work. As per previous posts, your commute both there and back will be with the heavy flow of traffic, so could take you more than 2 hrs per day for the return journey.

Depending on your budget and the schools you are considering, there are some excellent well established compounds much nearer to your workplace. I would recommend you consider Duhail, Dafna and even West Bay as potential options.

If you require further assistance please fell free to come back to me.

If it is a stand-off between Abu Hamour and Al Waab, Al Waab is better any day..

You'd be better off doing the opposite journey. Travelling from West Bay/Lusail towards Al Waab in the morning would be against the heavy flow of the traffic and therefore faster. You really don't want to be travelling from Al Fardan 3 towards Lusail in the morning and you certainly don't want to be crossing Salwa Road.

I live in one of the compound on Al Waab next to Beverly Hills called Les Roses 1..it would take you 45 minutes to one hour to get to Lusail not only because it is far away but also because the traffic on Al Waab is unbelievbly rediculous specially around the morning rush hourS

Cheers

45 minutes Al Waab to Lusail (I go the opposite way every morning.) Add 15 minutes for Abu Hamour.

Seriously? An hour from Al Waab? That would mean setting off at 6.30am...

You couldn't really be in a worse place. Good luck.
