I was offered a position in Qatar which allowed for me to bring 480 kilos of unaccompained luggage. I am trying to figure out whether this is meant as freight and the ability to ship some furniture over, or whether or not this is simply some extra suitcases sent via the airline. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

But usually unaccompanied luggage is your personal effects that are shipped via freight forwarders.
