Istimara expired due to accident repairs?

Istimara expired on the 17 March, grace period is unti the 17 Apr. Car had accident on the 11th Apr and is now ready 24th. which means I am a week over. I have all the paperwork. I know there's a penalty for going over the grace period. Do I have a case to not pay a penalty?

I did go and was told that I had 45 days and that the system will not even flag it. So 45 days grace period.

Thanks UK Eng....it seems the error corrected itself...there were a lot of answer from other posts...anyway..I will ask them for a letter.

I was in the similar situation. Got the letter from the Garage saying that the Car was in the Garage for repairs and went to Traffic Police they waived the penalty. The Garage guy did this for me.

Check with the Garage guys they should be able to help you.
