If i get a Job offer from Doha, where employer will pay QR 17,000 PM + accommodation and transport, how much INR(Indian Rupees)(1 QR = 14.94 INR) should i keep for the 1st month expenses.
Ravish, as your provided with an accommodation and transport you do not need to carry too much money with you.
2000 - 4000 would be good for a mediocre lifestyle. otherwise if you plan on clubbing every weekend and eating at some of the most expensive places 4000 would not suffice. when i came down first i was living on QR 500 for the fist month.
it all depends on the lifestyle that you want to maintain during your first month.
I would suggest somewhere between QR 7000/- to QR 10,000/-, if you can manage. That includes one way ticket in case of any emergency by business class by Qatar Airways or the likes and for other unforseen emergencies, just in case.
Maxi 2000 for food and travel.. treats not included. For first month I think they give you home to stay. If u wanna find by your own then u need to keep the whole salary until you find a home as they will ask you to deposit one month rent etc.
knor...don’t give stupid comments to genuine questions....
Many companies gives salary advance to new employees ..check with the employer..
What are your anticipated expenses? Do you need to stay in a hotel till you find an accommodation?
or is it just your food and transport that you need to take care of? If its just food and transport you will need only around QRs. 2000/- (Appx. INR 30000). Assuming that you will have a credit card in case of any unexpected expense..

As its not clear where u r gonna stay , in the intail period , i would suggest 5000 QAR (plz convert it to INR by ur self)
it will take care of your intail expenses , food accomodation and till the time u get the salary
best of luck
Since the accomadation is by the employer, i guess you will be able to manage with 1500 to 2000
Just to be in a safe side, you could keep 2500 :)
Welcome to qatar :)
