we are going to rent a house in the Abu Hamour area- does anyone know much about this area? How far to downtown? safe area? any parks or nice areas nearby?
I do not recommend to stay in a stand alone villa if there are no houses around.
Also another point to consider if the villa is located to the south of the sheepyard/slaughterhouse then I strongly do not recommend coz the wind here usually comes from the north and it will carry to you the manure "aroma" most of the time.
Those people belonging to Baluchistan which is an area spreading across Pakistan and Iran and guess Afghanistan also (am not sure about this). They are an ethnic group like Kurds and Kusristan.
Alot of nice new villas & beautiful comounds in that place.
It is accessible to salwa road, Hyatt Plaza, Villagio, Khalifa stadium, Fish market, Cambridge schools, many other schools, Medical commission, Vaccination Health Center, also Deportation Center.
Abu Hamur is a big area. You need to specify which part of abu hamour and if the house is inside a compound or stand alone. I know the area since I live nearby in Maamoura.
The area is considered centrally located and it is close to many common places.

it is a stand alone villa- pictures look very nice (the house)- rather "barren" area, looks like
Again the location is good.
I suggest to check the surroundings during day time (morning and afternoon) and also check it at night.
If you feel comfortable then go ahead.

How are you Novi, will be back in about a week, you want to meet?

Just drop me a PM when you back. Enjoy your hols ... and btw, are you sure you want to come back to Doha that early? It is very humid now :-(
Appologize for hijacking the thread... i am guilty ...
