Help- Al Saad Residential

Tyler
By Tyler

I just got word that my company has decided that I will be housed in a SMALL flat in the Al Saad Residential Complex "Qtel Building". Does anyone have any experience with this complex? Is it good/bad/dirty? Also where is this located? I will be working at the air base and commuting daily. Is this too far to commute or too painful? I hope someone can help answer these as the folks in country have already stated that these flats are quite small (housing will be for 3 of us) and that they are quite a distance from the air base.

is a very happening place. Pretty much the center of town. Lots of Traffic--yes in the evening its a nightmare. I would agree with the hour commute. You should be able to get something better that is closer to the base. Try Al Waab area. Use google earth and check distances/areas and get familiar with Doha.

if this is the 'Al Sadd Residence' it is modern with good facilities, however the apartments are quite small, think european rather than american. The base is about 1/2 hour away with no traffic, 1 hour with usual peak hour traffic. Al Sadd area is a traffic nightmare in the evening.

I said that because unless you know these 2 other people you will be moving into this small space with I wouldn't do it.

One it's small and 3 people to a flat? What are these other guys living habits are they clean or messy people. You will be cramped and hopefully on top of that you don't have to live with disgusting people.

Do you think you will have privacy or maybe that's not important to you.

If it's just about the money and you don't care about comfort then go for it.

That is just not my style.

I know some of them, but that was before coz those friends are just gone. Don't know if still Mr.S..the GM. But before, they pay pretty good compare to others (w/ my profession). I knew that bachelors employee do share accom. but a good one. And besides than that I have no more to say.

It boils down to trying to make $5,750.00/mo USD work for a place large enough for 3 people, preferably 4 bedroom 3 bath furnished. If anyone knows anything around please help. In addition has anyone ever worked with a hosting company called GSCS? Trying to find out what experiences folks have had
