Hanging Things On Walls

Where can I find a handyman type who can help me with hanging things on the walls - both the solid walls and in the kitchen on the grout lines. Unfortunately, we don't have the skills and/or tools for this and I'm getting tired of looking at bare walls.

Thanks.

It is not too difficult to hang pictures on the solid walls. You can get small plastic hanges (megamart, Carrefour etc) all have them, they have three small pins in the plastic J shaped piece. You simply decide where you want the picture, hold the J shaped plastic piece up to the wall and hit the pins strait on with a hammer. drive the pins in until they are flush with the plastic and viola, you are ready to hang a pciture on the hook. It takes a little more to drill a hole in the grout, but it too is not diffcult.

If you live in a compound or an apartment, they normaly have a handy man that will do these things for you at a small fee. Tip him diectly and tip him well and he will be very willing to come back to help again.

April, I live in a compound where the handy guys are only a phone call away, but I've been told you need a drill with a masonry bit. I hope that's right, but if not I'm sure someone here will set me straight :-)

And you kind of get used to the bare walls after a while :-D
