Green Cheese
Last week had the brightest full moon I can remember. The night sky has always been there whenever I walk home down our street, but it has been a long time since I actually looked up and admired it. I think last Friday was the week's brightest. There weren't any clouds too. You'd have to squint just to be able to see the man in the moon. The stars were bright too. The funny thing about looking at the moon is that you can just stare at it and lose yourself. Looking at the moon reminds me how small man is in this world. It reminds me that there are only a few things man does that isn't shallow or insignificant. It reminds me that there are greater things in life...bigger things. It reminds me how beautiful nature can be. It reminds me about lots of things...
What's nice is when you look at the moon and just stare at it...thinking of nothing else. Nowadays it's really hard not to think about anything. So be happy when there's nothing in your head:)
I was lucky enough to be able to share the moonlight with a friend last Monday. I think Corniche is overrated, but it is a great place to relax and enjoy the night. The moon wasn't as full as it was last week, but it was still bright and beautiful. So were the stars. It's a nice cozy feeling just chatting under the moon. 3 am, and the moon was just over our heads. Wanted to stay there till the moon sank down the sea. Too bad I had work in the morning.
Working and making money is fulfilling. Going out, gimmick, seeing movies, playing games are all fun. Going somewhere fancy is cool...but it's really the little joys in life that make life worth living.
Me and my simple pleasures.
Oh, and please don't sing "Does the moonlight shine on Paris"
