If u r talkin about taking a superbike or cruiser with u to India, I suggest u re-think it, coz most of the good bikes r already available there and it saves u a lot of headache wen it import duties, customs clearence, also wen it comes to service and maintenance.
I suggest u buy wats available there: Yamaha (R1, V-Max, Fazer, etc), Suzuki (GSX-R 1000, etc), Honda (Blackbird XX, FireBlade, etc), etc. These bikes r available in Delhi, Mumbai, B'lore, Chandigarh, Cochin, etc.....
If u still insist on takin ur bike frm here, then i suggest u speak to a reputed freight forwarder, preferrably Indian coz they'll kno exacty about the technicalities of exporting to India.
