Is it possible to drive to the Emirates from Qatar without having to enter Saudi? I have heard conflicting information so wondered whether anybody knows the truth! Thanks
there is no possible way to avoid saudi arabia....after crossing abu-samra in qatar you will go to salwa in saudi ..after that....you will drive for about 5-8 km and you will find sign to in the left side to UAE and Oman you will take that road to abu-dhabi
I'm guessing you looked at a map before you came to Qatar?? We live on a peninsula attached to Saudi....afraid there's no way to avoid it! (unless you have Bond's Lotus from 'The Spy Who Loved Me'!)

Not possible, the only road border of Qatar is with Saudi, so if you need to head to UAE, Saudi, Bahrain, you must leave via Saudi.
The Travel inside Saudi is approx 150 KM
