Hi

I am looking for a second hand car. (up to three years old). Is there an area or dealer in Doha where I can find a variety of makes/models to look at and choose from. I am looking for either German or Japanese makes.

Thanks

Britexpat. You will find H3's around, also 5 series. Try the various Showrooms on Salwa Road. I also Agree with Kellysheroes about Oasis Cars, I have the same bad experience.

But wasn't impressed with what was on offer. Most of the cars were over five years old..

I think I'll take Boss DA advice and go to industrial place, hhhmmm.. check there first and If you don't see the vehicle you like then go the company showroom.

Anyway Is it advisable to buy a second hand car?/ or should you buy anew one??

Cheers

Boss just put a classified on Qatar Living in its "Vehicle Wanted" & mention which car or which co. u prefer. and mention the limit to which u r looking for.

U will surely get a call from QL members, I did the same and i got calls too,

Bcoz of QL i got my Car and i am really very happy for that.

I CAN PROUDLY SAY, I AM VERY HAPPY AND SATISFIED WITH THE VEH WHICH I GOT.

THANKS TO QATAR LIVING.......

I would always recommend for a new one and preferably Toyota Or Nissan.

Don't repeate the same mistake that I did by chosing other companies other than Toyota or Nissan.

First shortlist your basic requirements for now and for one year from now... Then decide weather you need sidan or 4x.

Go for the most latest if possible.

why dont you go to the Company showrooms ..they all deal in this...especially the TOYOTA showroom ..you will surprised //may even get a 2007 zero mileage car ,,unused and with the warranty !!!

The Private car dealers have sold used car as new and we found this when we inquired at the registration office ..the dealers name is mentioned here in these columns..and they paid our cash back only when we threatened to call the cops..companies may charge a bit more but you are safe!!

had 2 bad experiences with them:

first time I checked a car and it had various defects compared to its age. The guy there kept convincing me that the car is good and the technical inspection is wrong. Did not buy it.

later after few years, I went there again, checked a car and agreed on the cost. Paid down payment and got the papers to do the bank loan. When I got the approval (after 3 days), they told me that the car was already sold by the owner. The car stayed there for at least 4 more days. Anyhow. I got my down payment and had them pay me the technical inspection charges. never showed them my face again.

Oasis cars www.oasiscars.com are really good. I know at least 20 people who have used them and they have said they were great.  Have a look on their website for a good range.
