Back to school - updated guide
By Doha Socialite •
We're putting together a guide for all the new expats that will be moving to Qatar next month. If there is one tip that you would like to share, what would it be?
Also, from all the tons of useful information on QatarLiving.com, what are some of the links that are important to share with the newbies?
Thanks in advance! (Please don't try to hijack this thread with the usual complaints and negativity...)
take your ration card also :p
I would advise cultural awareness as some locals are still somewhat offended with some western people`s dress code and kissing in public. It is basically out of respect for the host country (Qatar)
True. Including marriage certificate.
you have to conform your kids travelling vehicle registred company or not and full insurance or not ,driver has experience or not if need you can check license and id and take both copies.
Providing the basic guidelines for getting a driver's license - documentation required, if a test is required, etc.
Reminding people that once the RP process has begun, they cannot exit without stopping that process and starting again from the beginning.
That bringing a boatload of patience and good humour (maybe two boatloads) is essential in order to cope with the red tape and seeming run around experienced on arrival and getting set up/organized.
one comment:
