I am working as a real estate agent and I will be glad to help to find you the place (Villa or Apartment) you are looking for unless they (Qatar Airways) will provide you with one.
Thanks for your reply. Hopefully we will get sorted out. My husband is being offered accomodation through his company {Qatar airways] but we have no idea what[believe it to be a villa] or where it will be. We are just trying to do out homework before we come.

:-) well mean it cos they are like that...they r getting greedy by every second......its a pain to live in doha anymore with this freaking rising rent thingie.
It is best if you look through an agency. I currently rent with Al Asmack and when something in my little apartment breaks down they come and fix it within 24 hours.
I would stay away from private landlords. I've heard so many terror stories: leaving things unrepaired for months, increasing the rent with no reason or forcing tenants to vacant the property without notice. I don't mean to say that all private landlords are like that, but your backside is covered with an agency.
If you have a wealthy budget, West Bay is the best in Doha. Compound villas are definetly better thand stand alone in the sense that you can socialise with your neigthbours. Most have a club house, pool and walk areas.
I would avoid the industrial area, and the souks area (gets too crowded) and I don't particulary like central doha, too busy, too messy too much traffic.

Thanks Ayman, think Qatar Airways will provide accom but have no idea what it will be so have made a note of your email should we need it.
