What does Doha need?

Hi, im new to this site... am an expat who has lived in Doha for just over a year now... and I thought it would be interesting to hear what you all feel should be added to our city ;)

basically i think most things are readily available in Doha, but the few things I'd like to see are:

- A large bookstore with English books (maybe combine it with music like the virging megastores?)
- More outside seating cafe's along the Corniche
- More places to go out in the weekends in addition to the Paloma's, rydges bar and the Pearl lounge (maybe the parties at the Diplomatic club will solve this).

So, what do you think?

-Peatonal areas so we can actually walk around Doha. More street lights, less holes in the pavement, less dangerous drivers, etc.

-Totally agree about the bookstore. Jarir only sells Stephen King's scary crap, James Patterson's rubish, Julie Garwood etc. The choices are soooo bad.

-Defo, would be lovely to have outdoors eateries along the Corniche.

-A beach Park. I mean a "REAL beach Park" with greenery, cafes, playgrounds, bbqs and picnics etc.
