Transfer from Visit Visa to Family Visa
Hi there,
Is it possible to move from a visit visa to a family visa without leaving Qatar, if so what are the requirements, and how is it done.
Person in question will be arriving soon on a visit vias, but has parents here, who are able to apply for a Family visa. would the person need to leave Qatar for this to happen?
nurul can you ask your dads friend if he can help me do my resident visa for my family,
For those that understand and are wondering the same thing, It is possible to comin in on a tourist visit visa, and then once you are here, have a family member apply for a family visa (1 month to begin with, but can be extended by an additional 6 months) it seems that this process does not require you to leave Qatar.
Hi, I dont think I am being understood. From Visit Visa to Family Visa.
Knowa...It is possible to change the visa status from family vist to residence without flying back. The service costs 500 Qr and you need to bring the family residence visa copy and original passport to nearby service centre.
Hi, thanks for the response. It sounds as if you have gone onto a sponsorship, rather then a Family Visa. A family Visa can only run for a maximum of 6 months before expiring, and needs to be extended if needed for more then 1 month. It is not to live here, and does not need a medical. So the question is, can someone arrive on a 4 week visit visa, and while they are here apply and move over to a family visa.
Basically, I've just did mine last month, I changed from visit visa to family joint visa. Unfortunately, I couldnt remember those documents needed for it..because my dad's friend helped us to do those things, then later we went to the main MOI office at Madinat Khalifa to submit those documents, after that I was required to do medical check-up at the Medical Commission.. One advice from me, the whole procedure takes long time to complete. I used the one month visit visa to submit documents & wait for them to approve it, then I also extent my visit visa before it expires.
Good luck!
