Hello,
I'm planning on moving to Qatar and currently interviewing for a job. For a family of 4(kids age 4 & 6), would asking for 60.000/month be unreasonable, not to include benefits? I have over 11yrs experience in my field, along with an MBA degree.
Please advise.
Khouli, i dare not to comment on your salary. Everyone have their own standard of living, for people who making more than you will think that amount is not enough, and in the contrary for people who making lesser than you the amount is extraordinary.
However ... if the company paying for schooling and housing (fully paid and not allowance) ... that would the most expensive cost that most of expat family spend.
Also bear in mind ... ASD (American School of Doha) is a very popular schools. They have long waiting list.
i assume you would want to send your kid/s to American School when they reach schooling age eventually. I am not too sure about the fees, but it is one of the most expensive school in Doha. On top of that you have to pay capital fees per child per year QR 15.000
Please do your sum carefully if you paying school fees out of your wages
Novitta,
thank you for your feedback. Yes, I'm planning on taking them to the American school or any private school that offers a good curriculum. So, if I'm asking for $8.000 per month, tuition paid for, and all the other accomodation, would you that be too much asked?

For what position & 60000 in which currency? you have to be more specific while asking question.
This is going to be a consultant position in healthcare. I guess, I'm still not confortable with the currency portion. How about $8.000 monthly?
