Is this Rumor true??

Hi all,

I am a single man 28 years old, might be going to Qatar sometimes soon to work there.

I have been hearing that in Qatar, a single person can not rent an apartment any where he wants, as some landlords dont rent for singles in their buildings. Regardless of the rental amount. Is that true??

Another question, do you guys recomend Al Sadd area?, is it possible to find a good 1 bedroom apt for not more than 6000 QR/month?

Thanks

dont believe in humors that you cannot rent because you are single..

the #1 problem here is the price increase of house rents..

If you are looking for a 2 bed rooms flat in al sadd area then forget about it.

the average rent nowadays for 2 bedroom flat is about 7000 QR. Unless you accept to rent a crap appartment.

Al Sadd area is good, but its crowded most of the time. Im sure u can manage to find something for 6000 riyals. It is also true that some landlords dont give out houses to single people. They prefere married couples.
